for rental in Provence and the Riviera. Over the last 20 years I have been
fortunate to spend a lot of time staying in wonderful holiday houses in
the south of France and Paris. Here are a selection of some of my favourite
places for your benefit. I have many more places available for rental,
but these are the ones where I’d really like you to stay! Click on the

Most beautiful two bedroom, two bathroom home in village
of Caromb, in the Vaucluse, only 40 minutes drive from Avignon. Superbly
finished with lovely pool and sunny outdoor area.Shops and restaurants
a few minutes away.

Very nice large home sleeping up to 12 people, a short
distance drive from the centre of the town of Carpentras (35 minutes drive
from Avignon).

This is an exceptional holiday house – it’s not a
flash luxury house, but just a comfortable place that will leave a lasting
impression on you. In the heart of medieval village of Venasque – 40 minutes
drive from Avignon. Two double bedrooms (double/twin), one bathroom, and
one shower room, single bed in study.Sleeps 5 pers. Garden with views.

When I showed this place to my wife she just said
“when are we coming to stay here?!”. It has a large double bedroom and
another bedroom with twin or double bed. Main bedroom has extra single
bed.

This apartment which is ideal for two persons is right
on the waterfront of Villefranche sur Mer – if you’re going to have a Riviera
holiday you may as well be by the water! One bedroom, one bathroom, new
kitchen. Ideal place to holiday without a car even.

Here is a magnificent three bedroom apartment in the
beautiful port village of Villefranche sur Mer between Nice and Cap Ferrat.

Chez Madeleine, Vaucluse,
Provence
This is a very beautiful house with two bedrooms,
two bathrooms situated in the village of Caromb, in the Vaucluse, only
40 minutes drive from Avignon. Superbly finished with lovely pool and sunny
outdoor area.Shops and restaurants a few minutes away by foot.
Outside there is a lovely terrace which especially
captures the morning sun.
Dining area at one end of the lounge.
Upstairs there are two very nice bedrooms each with
their own ensuite bathrooms with WC.

This is a lovely large house sleeping up to 12 people.
This house is situated a few kilometers from the town of Carpentras in
Provence. It is about a 40 minute drive from Avignon. The property is surrounded
by vineyards, and very close to the house are some of the finest wineries
in France including Vacqueyras, Gigondas, Beaumes de Venise and Chateauneuf
du Pape.

This is an exceptional holiday house – it’s not a
flash luxury house, but just a comfortable holiday house that will leave
a lasting impression on you. Here you can see the house right on the edge
of the cliff on the side of the village. To the left of the house is the
garden.
In the heart of medieval village of Venasque – 40
minutes drive from Avignon. Two double bedrooms (double/twin), one bathroom,
and one shower room, single bed in study. Sleep 5 pers. Garden with views.
This is the main street of the village! The house is 30m off this road
to the left of the bell tower you can see below.
Comfortable lounge. Off the lounge to the right of
this picture is the double bedroom. Out the left side of this lounge is
a study with a separate bed, and the upstairs there is another bedroom.
This is the view from the garden! A peaceful spot
only metres from the centre of the village.

Chez Nicole, St Remy de
Provence, Provence
My wife has ordered me to arrange a family holiday
for us in this house! We love the village of St Remy – it is quite busy,
stylish, with some attractive shops and galleries and many restaurants
and bars to cater for every budget! It’s also only about 20/25 minutes
to Avignon by car. The house is about 1km from the village – on arrival
in the village from the house there is a large car park, or it’s a 120
minute walk on foot.
This is a low slung house with doors opening onto
this south facing terrace (sunny side!) from the master bedroom and from
the lounge. The almond tree provides valuable shade! To the left of the
house (in the photo) is the swimming pool and olive grove.
Here is a view over the swimming pool towards the
Alpilles mountains.
This is a large bedroom with a shower and washbasin
through the door you can see below in the photo. Also in this room is an
extra bed in case you have an extra guest staying. The second bedroom can
be made up as a twin bedded room or a double bed. In the hallway is a bathroom
and separate WC.

Riviera
I look at many apartments over a year, and not that
often do I find a place I really want to bring my wife on holiday to –
this is another such place. Right on the waters edge in Villefanche sur
Mer. See it circled in this photo.
You have to sometimes pull yourself away from this
view to do some touring!
A view of the living space, looking to the front door,
and beyond to the bedroom. The mirror reflects the views of the bay and
shows the two French doors that lead onto the balcony from either side
of the main room. Opposite the front door is an office area built in with
wireless DSL.
You can see here how the kitchen is located in a narrow
space along the front of the apartment.
The bedroom has airconditioning and a lovely view
out the back over the street.

Here is a magnificent three bedroom apartment in the
beautiful port village of Villefranche sur Mer between Nice and Cap Ferrat.

The apartment is on the third floor without a life,
but when you get there this is the view you have to enjoy! You watch the
cruise liners that regularly arrive in the port.
Two king sized bedrooms and one twin bedroom.
